Information regarding the proper disposal of electrical and electronic equipment and used batteries purchased from us.
If you wish to dispose of your old devices, please check in advance whether potential reuse of the devices (e.g. through repair) is still possible. This helps conserve valuable resources and supports a functioning circular economy.
If reuse is no longer possible or desired, you have the option to return your old devices free of charge at the following locations:
- At public waste management facilities in your area
- At a distributor obligated to take back devices
- At a manufacturer-specific take-back system
If you choose to return your device to a distributor obligated to take back devices, this may include a stationary and/or online retailer with a total sales, shipping and/or storage area of 400 m² for electrical and electronic equipment. Devices can also be returned to food retailers with a total area of 800 m².
Please note the legally required 0:1 and 1:1 return options and take-back obligations: Under the 1:1 take-back scheme, end users can return their defective old device free of charge when purchasing a new device of the same type. Under the 0:1 take-back scheme, small devices with an edge length of less than 25 cm can be returned free of charge.
If your devices contain batteries or lamps, these must be removed non-destructively before return and disposed of separately. As a general rule, both old devices and the batteries and/or lamps they contain must never be disposed of in household waste.
Please also note that you are responsible for independently deleting your personal data before returning old devices.
Please note that the device contains the following battery:
- Battery type: Primary battery
- Chemical system: Alkaline manganese battery; Lithium-ion batteries
Additional Information on Battery Disposal
